I am a first year teacher and mid-year hire! These are mainly basic supplies that my students expect which are currently lacking within my classroom. I want to ensure I can provide this to them to help them be as efficient as possible in their learning. This will also benefit students who may have trouble getting their own supplies which are required of them. This way, I can help relieve some of the financial burden from some of those students, so they can focus on their success within the class. I understand that as a teacher I must provide many different gateways to scientific learning aside from lecture and labs. Students will have to chance to communicate with each other in a variety of ways using the tools I have put in my wish list. Examples include post-it easel pads which are helpful in gallery walks, agree/disagree discussions and even presentations of inquiry based activities. I also strongly believe in putting my own personality into the classroom and reflecting the attitude I want my students to have when they are in there. This is why I included several posters which are enticing to the eye but also informational. My favorite one: "Think Like A Proton. Stay Positive!" I also want to include the more infographic-type posters in order to provide inspiration for an infographic project that I will assign to my students later in the semester. I will be so grateful if you can contribute or even share this with as many people as you can. Thank you!
