My students need ukuleles to learn, improvise and create music. With each student having a ukulele, I am giving them an engaging experience to help them grow their musicianship and an overall appreciation for music. My students will be participating in hands-on learning and acquiring the musical skills set by music education standards. My students have already shown much success on the few guitars we have but they are too big for some. These ukuleles are an age-appropriate tool that is needed for my students who are beginners on instruments. By providing this opportunity of playing ukuleles, I am building confidence in my students to perform music. When my students play ukuleles they will gain an understanding of musicianship and community. These skills will transfer to all content areas outside of music. To explore our ukulele curriculum these tools are necessary. As a teacher, I have presented research on music engagement and by funding my students I will be able to provide them with the best resources. I count on your support to make music. Thank you!
