Flexible seating will help my students stay focused while learning. My students love to be moving and they constantly have to be doing something kinesthetic to be engaged in the classroom. Flexible seating will help my students focus on their work, because they are allowed to move their bodies and feel comfortable while working. During independent work time, I allow the students to work in the rug, at their tables or anywhere they feel that they work best.
The Flex-Space Wobble Chairs and Comfy Floor Seats I have selected will provide my students with different seating options to improve their focus and to make effective learning choices. The wobble chairs will allow students to move around while being seated as they work independently or in small group. These will really benefit those students that are constantly moving their bodies. They can also be used as an alternative chair, if I notice a student really would benefit from it during whole group! Also, the comfy floor seats will be used for additional comfortable floor seating options during the independent station or collaborative station. They are easy to move around and adjust to the comfort of the students. I hope that the flexible seating options will help us bloom even more in the classroom!
