At CES I serve around 20 eager first graders. CES is located in Nampa, Idaho. Our school district is 100% Title I and we serve the highest percentage of economically disadvantaged students at over 90%. With that being said, we encourage active involvement in the community from our students, and families, and staff. Our school strives to maintain a positive environment where all students feel safe and valued. When all are all on board with this goal we can help students thrive as successful members of society and diminish the effects of homelessness on our students social, emotional, and academic growth. My first graders can benefit from coming to a school where they are free to make choices that are conducive to their individual learning styles. They deserve the opportunity to learn how to cope and be mindful of their emotions and actions.
