My fifth grade classroom is made up of a beautiful tapestry of students from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. My students deserve to open up books and find stories of people who look like them or who have similar experiences. The books in this list will help cultivate a diverse collection from which my students can experience the world outside the school's walls. There are both fiction and nonfiction books in this collection as well as two shelves with bins in order to organize our reading materials. Thank you for considering donating to this wonderful cause and helping to support literacy in our students.
