My students attend a low income middle school in California. Some of them live with multiple family members after losing their homes to foreclosure due to unemployment, some of them are living in subsidized housing project. Some of them are immigrants who barely came to the country and speak a different language and are learning English just recently. Despite the many trials in life they look forward to coming to school every day and learn. A lot of my students are college bound and for some to them, they will be the first person in their family to attend college and finish a degree.

About my class
