The kindergarten students at my school are a highly diverse group of five year olds from countries all over the globe. Our school is a public school that draws students from a neighborhood that has a lot of international families and a high transience rate. The majority of my students are learning English as a second language, and many come to school with little or no English knowledge. They are excited to learn, and the pace at which they master their new language is inspiring! I am hoping this resource will help all of the kindergartners at my school learn more about their world with a weekly publication targeted for their beginning reading level.
