Our elementary school has a student population of 650 students. At this time, we have two computer labs, each with 32 very old computers. We also have 20 Apple mini iPads that are shared 5 days of the week between all of our 1st-3rd grade classrooms. That is approximately 300 students. They are some very busy little iPads! Our teachers use them for Direct Instruction, classroom projects, research, and as incentives. Our technology goal is to be able to provide one to one devices for our students. With budget constraints being what they are, that has proven to be a very difficult, but not impossible, goal to reach.
