Access to basic school supplies is a daily struggle in my classroom. I've provided my students with whiteboards which are used daily for a variety of learning activities as well as provide an easy place for them to show their work. However, the dry erase markers we use need to be replaced regularly. We also use many pencils everyday and need a large supply of them as well as a high capacity pencil sharpener that can handle constant use. The sharpeners we use now cannot be used continuously so my students spend time and energy each day struggling to sharpen their pencils rather than working towards their learning goals. It is distracting for students when they do not have the supplies they need. The right supplies available when needed will allow my students to focus on their learning! Your gift will allow them to focus on achieving their academic learning goals and get the most out of their educational experience.
