I work in a beautiful small school in a Boston neighborhood. All of my students come from homes where English is not the first language; and most of my students are eligible for free or reduced priced lunch. I am fortunate enough to work with 20 motivated third graders who are curious and eager to learn new things. They bring so many different experiences to the classroom, which allow us to not only learn the curriculum, but also learn from each other. Similarly to other children around America, many of my students suffer from environmental allergies and asthma. As a result of these aforementioned factors, students' health interfere with their abilities to attend school each day, and perform to their highest capacity.
