In order to help each of my students be successful in the classroom, I need materials such as card stock, a laminator, laminating film, bright paper, and other office supplies to create a variety of leveled station and center resources. The materials I have requested will allow me to create meaningful, hands-on math activities that will help my students move from concrete to abstract thinking and will make math real and meaningful for every student. I also need easel pads and timers to help is move through small group and station work as I work to differentiate for all of the learners in my class. Students will use the manipulatives - dice, dominoes, playing cards, fraction tiles, protractors, tape measures - to practice in small groups and independent stations. These tools will prove invaluable in making connections to build mathematical thinking and make math meaningful!
