When student's sensory systems aren't working properly, they cannot concentrate or may act out because they are unable to control their bodies. When their bodies are working against them, they miss important learning opportunities, potentially leading to lower scores and/or retention. I am requesting various resources to build our classroom's sensory library to help them overcome their behavioral issues due to under- or over-sensitivity to the everyday lights, sounds, and smells that can be very overwhelming. These materials will be set up in our classroom for students to use when they cannot focus and need to decompress. Please help our classroom reach out full potential by donating to this project.
