I work with 30 students in five different grade levels from 1st-5th and their needs vary immensely. Students range in needs from crisis support, emotional support, academic support, or skills support. Addressing each student's specific needs requires individualization and creativity especially for their self esteem. Most of the students come from low income areas. My students are eager learners and are very excited about the idea of using new technology during their counseling sessions.
