My students live in a struggling socioeconomic area in New York City. Unfortunately ,some of the students have a difficult home life and find it hard to concentrate in school. Everyone in our school does their best to make the day as fun and productive as we can. With a limited amount of money for resources, it is often difficult to obtain math manipulatives to help my students stay motivated throughout the day.
