Our students are band magnet students who have a unique commitment to improving musically. Many of them are selected to move on to the Youth Performing Arts School upon completion of our program. Our students hold positions in community music organizations, JCPS all-county bands, as well as regional and national honor bands. Our bands consistently receive distinguished ratings at all KMEA performance events. Our students are taught to maintain the school instruments and do an outstanding job with the tools they have. Instrument cleaning supplies do run out, and that's where you can help!

About my class
