As the middle/high school social worker at Cassadaga Valley Central School District, a rural school district serving approximately 389 students, I support both students with disabilities and general education students through mandated counseling, general education counseling, small group support, crisis intervention, lethality and suicide risk assessments, psychosocial evaluations, behavioral and emotional support planning, family collaboration, and referrals to community resources. I work closely with students, staff, and families to remove barriers to learning and promote academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success. Donations directly support students’ basic and social-emotional needs by helping provide clothing, hygiene items, food, school supplies, coping tools, therapeutic resources, incentives, and emergency supports that help students feel safe, supported, connected, and ready to learn.

About my class
