The students come together a LOT on the floor whether it is coming together to blend and segment words, or read a story. We need a rug to sit on so that we are not sitting on the bare floor. If this project is funded the students will have a comfier place to sit instead of sitting on a cold, bare floor. To see the children their own place to sit will greatly impact their learning. They will all be able to see better and have their own spot to sit on. The children would LOVE to have a rug in our classroom.
