All of the students entering my class are 4 years old. This means they need plenty of opportunities to move around, play, and use their bodies to learn. Providing students with wiggle cushions, weighted balls, and resistance bands allows them to stimulate their bodies while they work. This will allow them to focus on all of the new knowledge Transitional Kindergarten has to offer. I will be leading my students in P.E. and want them to learn how to play group games with balls and jump ropes. All of this equipment will give their bodies a break and teach them to work together. Finally, we need materials to make the classroom feel safe and welcoming. Paints, pencil grips, and other resources for learning will help make these students' first experience in school a positive one.
