With a wide variety of languages spoken, our school represents a unique population of students reflective of our urban setting. Many of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch, and it is our duty as teachers to end existing trends in the achievement gap by creating opportunities for equal learning. In only its second year after reopening, our school hopes to create a community of learners who work together to solve problems, where "every child is known, safe, inspired, challenged, and empowered."

About my class
