I teach 8th grade U.S. history & civics in Lake Alfred, Florida at Lake Alfred Polytech Academy. Our school has traditionally earned failing school grades due to lack of supplies, updated learning tools, and low student interest. Students here often have a low socio-economic status and many need Exceptional Students Education and/or are English Language Learners. No matter the challenges, ALL students deserve to learn and to have their BEST chance to succeed. I am a Highly-Effective teacher who grew up in the same areas as my students. I was the first in my family to graduate from college, and I know I can inspire my students to do the same with help from people like you. Please, donate and give these students the tools they need to be successful.
