My students have very few choices when it comes to seating but with your help, I believe we can provide them with tools to help create a space where they can function and reach new heights. As a classroom that has multiple students on the autism spectrum, ADD/ADHD, and varying needs, flexible seating is an excellent option to provide a pathway to focused learning. These flexible seats can provide an outlet for my students with learning disabilities to finally be able to receive the differentiation they deserve. Standard seated chairs limit students with disabilities and make it difficult for them to have an outlet to release their distractions and hyperactivity. Every student deserves the tools to give them the best opportunity at an amazing education and classroom. Because I am a first-year teacher, I am limited to what I can provide. So far, every paycheck I have received has gone to acquiring resources for our class so I can give them an equal opportunity to learn. However, even with everything I have put towards our class, I can not supply our classroom with this vital flexible seating. I want to help my students grow and I know giving them these options will help them do so!
