I teach in a culturally diverse middle school in suburban Pennsylvania. My students are encouraged to read everything they can get their hands on. Some come to me never having owned a book in their lives and others read a book a week. I have books highlighted throughout my room and reading is an important part of my curriculum. My goal is to make every student under my care leave my classroom with a love of books and knowing the value of reading.
