This is the beginning of my 5th year in the library here. I am loving it! And the makerspace we have established is a chance for me to incorporate my 20 years as an Art and STEM teacher. Our school is nestled in the mountains and forests of Appalachia and includes a large farming community, too. The students are as diverse as families that have lived here for generations to families that migrate with the harvests. All of the students are respectful and well behaved. We have almost no violence in our school. They take pride in their corner of the world and they are some of the coolest, funniest kids I have ever known. I am blessed.
