Students have different learning styles and needs. Flexible seating options allow students to have a choice when it comes to what type of learning environment is best for them. It also helps create a welcoming and positive classroom environment. Our project includes a dry erase whiteboard table and stools. This will help create a spot in our classroom where students can collaborate on project and assignments. Students will be able to brainstorm ideas and solve problems directly on to the table. It will also lead them to engage in rich, respectful conversation. This will help them develop skills that are essential for success in the 21st century. Our project also includes a rug to create a comfy reading corner. Students will be able to sit or lay down to read their favorite books! They will also be able to sit with a friend or group to read the same text. Lastly, our project also includes a class set of whiteboard clipboards. This will allow students more mobility and ability to work with each other in different areas of the classroom.
