Although rain would seem like a good thing, monsoon season brought destruction to our book room. Several book sets were destroyed, and black mold plagued even our new shipments. Our students are already underserved, and to start the year off with having to throw away books is a tragedy. This project will allow our students to read the novels that they so greatly deserve. I have found that our students only encounter these novels in the classroom- many of our students are not even familiar with these titles. Without this funding, we are going to continue to struggle for the next few years without a doubt.

About my class
