I am proud to serve as the Media Coordinator at my high school and I am even more proud that my media center is both literally and figuratively the heart of the school. Stationed at the direct center of our building, it is a high use area that serves a multitude of functions: meeting space, research center, conference room, presentation space, gathering spot for the Student Government Association, and (most importantly) a classroom. We are also an area that students use during our hour-long school-wide lunch.
