What do you remember most about your high school science class? The explosions, the squirmy things you had to dissect or was it the very animated, somewhat quirky science teacher? Just as you sit and ponder a fond memory of your high school science class, it is my goal to create a lasting experience for my students as well. I can do this with your help. My students (90% minority, 75% low income) are enrolled in a college Prep high school within a very large, very urban, public school district. As with most urban public school districts, budgets are tight, resources are stretched, but expectations are high. As I prepare for the upcoming school year, I am reaching out to individuals and business that are able to provide resources so my students can reach and surpass the expected benchmarks and enter college fully prepared.
