My students just want to be heard! We have had many, wonderful class discussions based on current events. My students are always excited to share their opinion! I want to take this idea to the next level with a consistent lesson. With up to 50 students in each of my 6 Communications elective classes, we don’t have any resources that can accommodate all of my students at the same time. I would like to facilitate real-time class discussions as students are reading and getting excited about different topics. The beautiful thing about magazines is they are engaging for all learning levels. While some students will be more interested in the details, others are drawn in by pictures and headlines. Learning starts by capturing interest and imagination. I am very excited to share this project with my students!
