Due to Covid-19 our school library is closed to students. Unfortunately, the school library is underwhelming to say the least. As a reading specialist, I need access to leveled books every day. Sometimes, I just need to grab a leveled book to do a quick running record on a student, but I don't have all the books to do so. These books will make my guided reading groups run a lot smoother. I will be able to prepare better for my groups with these books on hand. I used to print leveled books online from a paid website, but the subscription has not been renewed this year. The printed ones usually tear and don't last long like real bound books. I have been desperately searching for leveled books around the school to conduct my reading groups effectively. If I had a set of leveled books I will be able to share it with the other Title teachers that I work with. I wouldn't have to guess a book's reading level and hope that I didn't pick a book too hard or too easy for a student. Teaching would be a lot easier with these books.
