Students with disabilities require learning environments with unique and diverse accommodations. Our students want to learn! They are eager to grow and become the best humans they can be. I am excited to create an accessible and differentiated learning environment for all of my students. Our greatest needs are manipulatives (items that can be used to learn Science, Social Studies, and Math), lighting that is conducive to a calm atmosphere, which allows learning to occur in an optimal environment, and materials that will help our students maintain a consistent daily routine--a vital aspect of running a Special Education classroom. The items chosen will allow us to create this type of learning environment. Within this environment, we will afford our students (and future students) a fantastic year full of joyful learning!
