Our students face challenges daily that some can't imagine. Some of our students struggle with daily needs that need to be met long before teaching can be effective. Students feel loved and cared for when we can offer more than an education but items that make their life easier. We have students that do not have money for backpacks and they carry broken or damaged backpacks. They lose items or things are stolen at rec centers or on the bus. I'd like to give students a good backpack when they need it. They will be able to function better as a student and also feel the dignity that comes with proper school supplies.

About my class
