I teach a CTE Cybersecurity program that provides workplace skills for in high school students that prepares them for industry certifications including CompTIA A+, Security+ and Network+. Our school is fairly new in Henderson, NV and we are still getting our programs started. Our school repurposes computers for my class when the staff gets computers upgraded, so we don't need new computers. What we do in cybersecurity is test out the security of different IoT (Internet of Things) devices, such as webcams, connected doorlocks, doorbells, security cameras, badge reader, card scanners, etc. I would like to build a lab panel where these devices could be all connected to a specific wireless network where students could see how these work, how the security can be easily compromised on these and what to do to secure them.
