These books will continue to provide my students with reading opportunities in their native language. The variety of books will help them build vocabulary, background knowledge and confidence in their abilities. Reading in Spanish will help students continue to develop their native language in addition to applying the concepts learned throughout the day. My students will appreciate a special place with flexible seating in our classroom where they can discuss, listen and share their learning. The space in my class will provide opportunities for the students to browse different titles and consider their interests. Students will also have a kid friendly classroom area with flexible seating where they can read and make connections to themselves all while learning about the world around them.
