My Best Buddies students are middle school students who have chosen to be part of a program focused on inclusion, connection, and support. They are compassionate, patient, and eager to make a difference. Through our program, they are paired with Pre-K students with special needs and engage in hands-on activities, events, and shared experiences. They assist with art, play, and structured activities while building meaningful relationships with their younger peers. What makes these students special is their ability to lead with empathy. They take pride in supporting and connecting with the Pre-K students in ways that go beyond words, while developing leadership, patience, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of inclusion. They are not only making an impact—they are becoming more compassionate and understanding individuals.
