My sixth-grade Math and Science students remind me why teaching is a calling each day. They enter my classroom with curiosity and a desire to learn. Though they have different needs, they share one goal: success. My students love learning and challenge me daily. They keep me on my toes with questions. They enjoy role-playing the teacher, explaining math problems, demonstrating science concepts, and helping others. Watching students become confident leaders reminds me their voices matter. Some students speak English, while others speak Spanish. Some are learning English while mastering Math and Science. Others struggle with writing and need laptops to put their thoughts into words. I am doing everything I can with the resources available to me. My students make do with what we have, and they continue learning. However, my students deserve access to tools that can help them reach their full potential.
