We are trying to teach the students at our school that their actions have consequences and that they can help bring about change in the world. As a small first step we would like to start a recycling program here. The program will help the students (and some staff) learn to be more environmentally conscious and responsible. We need to purchase recycling bins, ones for paper and ones for bottles and cans, as well as large bags so we can transport the recyclables to the recycling center in the town. We are hopeful that this ecologically responsible behavior carries over to the students cottage and home lives.
