My student's exposure to current events and informational text is critical to their successful 6th/ 7th grade school year. The writers of the magazine deliver the content in an interesting and engaging way. I have taught various levels of students through the years and they have been excited about the opportunity to read these relevant magazines. As a 6th/7th grade ELA teacher, it is my goal to successful teach my students the Language Arts Standards. Implemented into the curriculum, a large focus of instruction includes: determining a central idea of a text and analyzing its development over the course various text and the ability to provide an objective summary of the text. With the implementation of these magazines my students will have a better opportunity to advance in their academics.
