I am requesting an iPad and iPad pencil to use as a digital whiteboard with my students. There are many different ways we can utilize an iPad in the classroom. First of all, we can do virtual lab demonstrations using a plethora of available apps! But, as we push students toward sense-making, we can also do live demos and document student ideas in real-time to show students how their thinking changes over time--AUTHENTIC scientific experiences that promote DOING authentic science! The pencil will make this process much easier, and I will be able to sanitize it between uses. Without your help and support, I would not be able to provide my students with this technology to enhance their daily academic experience.
