Our student ambassadors made a goal to start recycling paper program at our school last year. We are currently using cardboard boxes to collect our paper. We would like actual recycle bins for each classroom and our copy rooms. We started recycling in December, and so far we have collected over 750 pounds of paper that would have ended up in a landfill. The student ambassadors go around to each class every two weeks, and we weigh each bag to keep track of our progress. We take the paper to a local drop off facility for recycling. We hope to incorporate more items to for recycling in the coming years.
