I am one of two Spanish teachers at the Middle/High School. My students & my school are situated in a rural community nestled in Madison County & we share our town w/ SUNY Morrisville. My students are curious about the world around them but it is difficult for them to get a true appreciation of what that world has to offer due to the financial struggles many of them have at home. I have realia from my travels so I can bring that world to them. I've exposed them to many different Spanish-speaking cities, artists, other famous figures, &the wonderful sports world that many cities around the world are famous for. I also include many student-made projects that help make my classroom an inviting, vibrant space for learning. I want my students (current) to see that they have many opportunities for college, so as my seniors commit to their colleges, I ask them to give me a pennant and I proudly hang it in my classroom!
