My students are 5th graders who attend a 5/6 school in Connecticut. They come from all areas of the city, mostly from an urban setting. My classroom is their first experience in a city-wide school and it is my role to foster a place where they can comfortably learn in a new, safe environment. These kids are curious, diverse and eager to learn.
