My students come to school with little exposure to advanced technology. Computers, smart phones, and tablets are out of reach for the majority of them. As California moves into computer based testing and common core standards my students are at a distinct disadvantage. Navigating technology through Virtual Reality and video/audio projects as a normal part of our classroom routines would give my young learners a huge boost as they progress toward mastery and success with 21st century skills. We will use apps, QR codes, video and audio recording to show what we know and learn to integrate reading, writing and performance.
