Access to an iPad Pro will enable City's Makerspace to offer 3D scanning to the student body, through an auxiliary device. The Makerspace's tech lab already offers 3D printing, and by pairing these together, this opens doors for what students are able to make. By pairing 3D scanning with 3D printing, this will allow students to literally scan and replicate the objects in their world. Students will be able to scan physical objects, rooms, and even each other, and 3D print these scans if they desire. Regular content teachers will also be able to check this out for math, science, art, or even history projects.
