Being a teacher/leader is not about you. It's about the children in front of you and how you can help them be successful. I am asking for classroom furniture such as a table and chairs, lap desks, and bean bags because I believe these materials will help my students learn better. Having flexible seating will allow my students to feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. It allows students to choose where they work and with whom. It allows them to change their location and positions as needed. It also helps the teacher when working in small groups. Small group instruction gives extra support for those who may need it.
