I believe strongly that a clean and organized room is critical for students to learn in. Without this cabinet, many of our small percussion items are scattered, damaged, or lost. Giving our students the proper tools to be able to be organized will help them in their craft and in their lives! Percussion students often get an unfair stigma of being disorganized and forgetful students, but it has been my experience that so long as the students are given adequate instruction and resources, they can be excellent stewards over their equipment. Our current cabinet is over 30 years old and is under utilized because of its condition. This would give students a sense of pride and something to take care of!
