My students are mainly African American with an equal ratio of boys and girls. My school is a unique learning institution that works in partnership with an early childhood center that supports the education of the children in our community from birth to fifth grade. Our mission statement is that "We Expect Excellence... Every Student, Every Parent, Every Teacher, Every Classroom, Everyday!" At Dunbar Elementary our goal is to ensure that all children are developed academically, emotionally, and socially in order to become globally competitive.
