I have a creative bunch where traditional learning styles may not always work out. They need a creative outlet to help them become more inquisitive about the world around them. Introducing them to a camera may help them to look at the environment around them differently. Especially in our world today where there are so many differences that need to be celebrated. I hope to incorporate cameras into the class for learning. My students work hard but the routine of paperwork, lectures and so on may be a bit mundane. I want to excite them and show them that there is so much more to their learning and that the world right outside their classroom door could be educational. We use my phone to take videos and photos but it’s difficulty to see quality and the kids do not get a real experience taking photos with a phone. Putting a camera in their hands would give them a new perspective on how to look at the world through a lens.
