I choose a classroom set of classic novels I remember reading in school, but with a twist! These novels are GRAPHIC NOVELS and pair great illustrations with great dialog. Having these books in my classroom, available to my students, would open up a world to them that they would not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy. At the high school level, many classic novels are read by students across the nation. Because English is not the first language of my students, text presented at the high school level is often not accessible. Graphic novels bring these classics to their level.
