Every day, children walk into my classroom full of excitement ready to learn! Students at our school come from diverse backgrounds. My classroom provides the students with a safe and predictable environment. Predictability and routine of the classroom help to cushion the impact of stressors, and as a teacher, I am in an excellent position to identify and support these children's unique needs. I also provide a stimulating learning environment for my students, I foster their confidence and give them the courage they need to trust their own opinions, necessary to develop their critical and creative thinking skills. I want children to be active learners and disciplined, creative thinkers; to learn to make good choices and to work cooperatively; and to be kind and responsible.
