I teach k-5 art at Apollo Elementary. We are a 100% poverty school. Our students don't often have opportunities outside school to experience art and cultural activities. In our art room, we learn how art helps us with problem solving skills and includes a lot of curriculum reinforcement from their regular classroom learning. Art combines all subject areas and promotes well-being.
